An alternative to the classic route on a dirt road, a different interpretation of this climb on a paved road, for those who prefer not to venture on unpaved paths but do not want to miss the opportunity to reach this Col

Departure from the tourist office of Pragelato. We are in Val Chisone; from this side the ascent to Colle
delle Finestre is more comfortable, due to the bottom and average gradient, this alternative to the
classic route of ascent from the Valley of Susa in fact remains entirely on asphalt ground with an average
gradient of 7%. From Pragelato we descend Val Chisone for 6 kilometers to the village of Pourrieres. In
this locality we begin our ascent towards the hill, immediately reaching the town of Balboutet; we cross
it and continue to ride on the road that maintains a gradual slope for a few kilometers up to the Piano
dell'Alpe. The panorama transforms into a high mountain view with open spaces and views over the
entire valley. We also cross the entrance to the dirt road that leads to the Assietta hill, we pass this fork
to begin the final part of the climb which will end at the pass between the Chisone and Susa Valleys. The
asphalt ends in this point. We can look out on the slope of the Susa Valley to observe the dirt road that
winds along the valley, climbing with switchbacks on the mountain side. The descent takes place on the
same uphill path.
Near the tourist information office in Pragelato there is a free e-bike recharge point; you can
use your charger and connect your e-bike to this point to recharge it!
