The gradient on this climb is greater than 9% all the way from Gévoudaz to Albiez-Montrond, a pretty village-resort at the foot of the Aiguilles d'Arves.
Description
It could be called "the Opinel ascent". Indeed, you cross the hamlet of Gévoudaz, where Joseph Opinel invented the universally known knife in 1890. This is also where your slope exceeds 9% and won't weaken before passing Albiez-le-Vieux, a pretty resort dominated by the Aiguilles d'Arves.
