Val-Cenis - Termignon

The mountains and glaciers of the Vanoise have placed a mirror amid the
flowering grass of the alpine pastures. In it, they admire their reflection,
adorned with the glitter of the golden sun tickling the water. Welcome
to Blanc Lake!

Description

Evading the crowds that eagerly follow the main trail, you'll be one of the
privileged few who'll meet Saint-Antoine three times during your short ascent
from the Coëtet parking lot. Look for the saint nestled in an oratory or a
crevice in the rock face. You'll recognise him by his T-shaped cross and bell.
You'll come across some beautiful chalets along the way, as well as the chapel
of Sainte Marguerite, protector of alpine pastures and pregnant women.
The cheerful melodies of birdsong and the shrill whistling of marmots make
a delightful soundtrack to your hike, to the beat of gravel steadily crunching
underfoot.
Raise your head and feast your eyes on magnificent views of Dent Parraché
and the glaciers of the Vanoise. As you rest on the riverbank, take a moment
to admire the peaks reflected in the crystal-clear waters of this glacial lake.
