Valloire organises a unique artistic event in France, which is both fun and linked to the mountains. Come and discover works of art made by talented sculptors ! You can admire those sculptures all summer long in Les Verneys, Valloire.
Description
This competition is unique in France! The theme is open-ended, but the term "sculpture" is generic. In fact, it's a "construction" filled and dressed with straw and hay.
12 giant sculptures are created by teams of 2 sculptors on the Verneys plateau in Valloire. They can be seen throughout the summer.
Competition starts: Tuesday June 25 at 9 a.m.
During the week, come and encourage and support the sculptors in their work!
End of competition: Sunday at 12 noon
Sunday June 30 :
12pm end of competition - for safety reasons, the site will be closed to the public until 12:30pm
12.30 - 4pm: Voting for the People's Prize and the Youth Prize at Les Verneys, next to the Sculptures site
5.30pm: Competition prize-giving ceremony
