what to see in the Maurienne valley

There is no need to escape to the four corners of the world to have your daily dose of discovery! It is enough to deviate a little from the motorway axis and pack your bags with a little piece of curiosity to realize how beautiful this valley is!

While having retained its authentic character, it offers varied and unspoiled landscapes and panoramas. The Vanoise National Park bears witness to this. The Maurienne also has a reputation for “know-how” producing the famous Opinel knife or the delicious Beaufort cheese.

Stand in wonder as you walk back through time, as you see the giant Fort of Esseillon or walkthrough the “living” museum of the Bonneval-Sur-Arc village. There is a concentration of real heritage and authentic architectural jewels to discover.

Set your GPS for the “roads less traveled” on the A43 and the D1006. Discover that the Maurienne Valley is MORE than it’s 11 Mythical Cols.

You are therefore not allowed to miss these “must-sees” in the valley!
