The reopenings are spread out from mid-May to mid-June. The Iseran pass, the highest in Savoie, is traditionally the last to be cleared of snow, at the end of May, and to reopen to traffic in June.

 

⚠️Following the landslides between Orelle and Modane in Maurienne, summary to date:

• Fréjus Tunnel OPEN to all vehicles
• Portion of the A43 motorway located between Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne and Le Freney: A43 open

Road RD 1006 CLOSED (also closed for cyclists), between the RD215a and the Fresney interchange, La Praz sector. Diversion via RD 215

⚠️ 25th Cyclist Climb of Chaussy Sunday 3rd september

Traffic restrictions on Sunday September 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Participants in the sporting event benefit from temporary exclusive use of the roadway:

RD 77B – “Laces de Montvernier”: from a place called La Plantaz, municipality of La Tour-en-Maurienne, to the capital of the municipality of Montvernier
RD 77: from the capital of the commune of Montvernier to Montpascal, commune of La-Tour-en-Maurienne.
Any driver of a vehicle traveling on the roadway must leave the way, stop or park. Drivers can only resume their walk when signaled by the representatives of the organization or after the passage of the vehicle signaling the end of the event.

The measure does not apply to emergency vehicles.
