Valfréjus

Discover an area steeped in history with breathtaking panoramic views.

Description

Discover a site steeped in history. This site of terrible battles and intensive bombardments between the French and Italians left its mark on the Second World War. The Lavoir fort, the Pas du Roc and the remains of the barracks bear witness to a past that is still very much alive. The return of peace has given way to a peaceful plateau of mountain pastures and vast mineral expanses. Your route reaches 2700m at its highest point, so you'll be breathless both literally and figuratively. The panorama is breathtaking and the view bewitching.

- The more adventurous, for experienced mountain bikers, via the difficult (red) enduro mountain bike route called "La déjantée".
