Valloire organises a unique artistic event in France, which is both fun and linked to the mountains. Come and discover works of art made by talented sculptors ! You can admire those sculptures all summer long in Les Verneys, Valloire.
Description
This competition is unique in France! The theme is open-ended, but the term "sculpture" is generic. In fact, it's a "construction" filled and dressed with straw and hay.
12 giant sculptures are created by teams of 2 sculptors on the Verneys plateau in Valloire. They can be seen throughout the summer.
Start of competition: Tuesday June 25 at 9 a.m.
Competition closes: Sunday, 12 noon
From June 25 to June 29: Come and support the sculptors and follow their progress throughout the week!
Saturday June 29 from 6.30pm: Concert on the sculpture site with RED POP CHILI BOSSA Acoustic renditions of pop, bossa and groove classics.
Refreshments provided by Pic Sonne.
Sunday June 30: For safety reasons, the site is closed to the public from 8am to 1pm. (contest ends at 12 noon)
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Voting for the Public Prize and the Youth Prize at the Tourist Office.
1 pm to 4:30 pm: Voting for the People's Prize and Youth Prize on the sculpture site.
From 4pm: Refreshments provided by Pic Sonne
5.30pm: Competition prize-giving ceremony on the sculpture site

- All summer long, vote online for your favorite sculpture! The winner of this prize will see his or her work used on the 13th competition's 2025 visuals.
