The Marie Thérèse Castle is one of the five castles (Marie-Christine, Charles- Albert, Charles-Félix, Victor-Emmanuel) of the Esseillon barrier, located in the Haute-Maurienne valley. This fortified complex was built by the Kingdom of Sardinia at the beginning of the 19th century along the way to the Mont Cenis, that was back then one of the main roads in the Alps. Come visit the Marie-Thérèse Castle and discover this region's history.
