Very often, after a good bike ride, we take pleasure in tasting a good refreshing beer; so why not discover the local beers of the Maurienne?
We have 4 craft breweries in the valley:
The Gwape brewery in the old village in Valmeinier 1500. Chloé and Adrien are the creators of this craft microbrewery and take pleasure in welcoming connoisseurs or curious people to help them discover their profession in a friendly and warm setting. The Gwapes, “the one who drinks a lot” in Savoyard dialect, are available in white, blonde, amber, and Indian Pale Ale (bitter beer).
The beers can be consumed on-site or to take away.
The Galibier brewery. Located at an altitude of 1450m in Valloire, this craft brewery produces its beer in an exceptional setting. The managers carefully select each ingredient and respect the German purity law called Reinheitsgebot, in force for more than 5 centuries.
Direct sales, tasting, bar, and terrace at the brasserie every day from 4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
The artisanal brewery of Oe in Aussois. Cédric, Julien, and Sébastien share their professional activities between the professions of guide, ski patroller, and refuge keeper and that of brewmaster. After having experienced the art of brewing as an amateur, they embarked on the adventure more seriously by professionalizing in 2016. Installed in the Associative House of Craftsmen and Crafts in Aussois, they distribute their beers to discerning local establishments. From Weissbier to American Amber Ale, from Dunkelweizen to Black IPA, everyone will find a style to their liking in Aussois beer!
Open Tuesday and Thursday, visit at 6 p.m. and tasting and sale until 7 p.m.
The Les sources de la Vanoise brewery in Villarodin le Bourget. Located between alpine pastures and mountains, the Brasserie des Sources de Vanoise offers a range of beers brewed in a traditional way, using only raw materials from organic farming. The brewery uses spring water which has supplied the village since ancient times. Blonde, white, amber, brown, each has its own character. According to the seasons and the creativity of the brewers, other beers complete the range, for the pleasure of all!
At the brewery, you can come for a tour and tasting, consume them on-site, and buy them in the shop overlooking the brewing cellar in front of your eyes.
Opening From 01/01 to 17/04, every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
From 06/07 to 30/08, every Wednesday and Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
